April 2026 Roundtable session

Some people talk about workplace culture from the outside. Anniella talks about it from inside the decisions.

Anniella Isabelle Jeannot is a Founder and HR & Payroll Strategist and when we asked her what she carries into every room she works in, she did not talk about frameworks or compliance or best practice. She talked about respect. Not as a value written on a wall. As a test of character that only reveals itself under pressure.

She said something that we have not been able to stop thinking about since ๐Ÿ‘‡

That it is easy to be respectful when things are going well. Easy to be kind when people agree with you. But the real test is the one that shows you who a leader actually is and comes in the moments of disagreement, challenge, and pressure. That is when character either holds or it does not.

Anniella has spent her career in environments where the pressure was high, the decisions were difficult, and emotions were not always controlled. And in all of it, one thing that has remained constant for her is that you can be firm without being disrespectful. You can make tough decisions without losing your humanity and you can lead without diminishing the people around you.

For her, HR has never been about policies or processes. It has always been about people. And she carries that belief into the hardest conversations as a standard she holds herself to when it would be easier not to.

She closed with something that landed in the room and stayed there. People will forget what you said. They will forget what you did. But they will never forget how you made them feel. And in the long run, that becomes your reputation.

We are proud to have had Anniella at the What Work Does To Us roundtable.

And we are even more proud that she said yes to this conversation without hesitation.

AI-Powered Women Ambassador

We excited to share that our Founder Anniella Isabelle Jeannot has joined the AI-Powered Women as an Ambassador and Mauritius Chapter Lead.

Itโ€™s a leadership platform anchored at MIT thatโ€™s building the human capacity AI transformation actually demands.

She said yes because this is a community helping women lead with both technical fluency and human depth.

We want to connect more people to it, if youโ€™re looking for an AI certification, leadership academy, or enterprise readiness program that goes beyond the basics, Iโ€™d love to share more.

About the Forum

This forum will bring together policymakers, HR leaders, innovators, researchers, founders, and decision-makers to explore how Africa can shape ethical AI governance, responsible innovation, and human-centered workplace transformation. It is a cross-sector space designed to connect policy, technology, and people strategy in one powerful continental conversation.

As AI continues to transform the world of work, organizations must go beyond adoption and ask deeper questions around governance, accountability, people impact, and readiness.

The Pan-African AI Governance Forum 2026 is designed to spark meaningful dialogue around how Human Resources, leadership, and institutions can co-create AI practices that are responsible, strategic, and relevant to African realities.

Because the conversation around AI governance, workplace transformation, and human-centered technology should not be limited by geography or cost. If we are serious about shaping Africaโ€™s AI future, then more voices need to be at the table.

Under the theme โ€œWhere Human + AI Co-Create,โ€ we are opening the doors wider than ever before. This is your invitation to join us from wherever you are and be part of a continental dialogue that matters.
